Romeo y Julieta WIDE CHURCHILLS
Romeo y Julieta WIDE CHURCHILLS. What an absolute treat the Cubans have created here. All levels can smoke this iconic Churchill cigar. It is shorter than the regular Churchill, closer to the Short Churchill but with a fat 55 gauge and with an oily gloss on the wrapper that has you licking your lips in anticipation. On tasting, it is for me slightly stronger and spicier than a traditional Romeo Y Julieta smoke and therefore more suited for an after-dinner smoke as opposed to an afternoon-in-the-sun kind of smoke.
Prior to lighting up the Romeo y Julieta WIDE CHURCHILLS, a straight cut is used to remove the cap of the cigar. After the cap is successfully removed, it is on to the pre-light draw. The cold draw delivers a mix of cream, citrus, and a slight amount of cedar. Overall, this is a satisfactory pre-light draw. At this point, it is time to toast up the foot of the Romeo y Julieta WIDE CHURCHILLS and see what this cigar brings to the table.
