Description
Stauning Whisky Rye
Stauning Whisky Rye is a classic Stauning product range, and the first bottle they released back in 2010 – Rye First Impression. The production methods have been refined since then, and today their rye whiskey contains only malted rye and malted barley. That makes it something very special in the whiskey world.
Stauning Whisky Rye is difficult to handle and even more difficult when malted. Therefore, it is not common to grind rye in the world. At Stauning, they use their own inventions, which means that they can handle the malting of rye. All the grain is from local fields – the fields that surround the distillery. In addition, it is distilled as a single malt – twice on small copper pot stills.
The whiskey is produced from rye and barley, which makes this whiskey the perfect match with good Danish rye bread. Stauning Rye is basically rye bread in liquid form. We are sure that you will be able to taste the difference in the finished product.
Rye whiskey is also the first choice in classic cocktails such as Manhattan and Old Fashioned.
