Jack Daniels Gentleman Jack
Jack Daniels Gentleman Jack was born in 1988 at the Jack Daniels distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. At America’s oldest registered distillery.
Gentleman Jack is based on a blend of 80% corn, 8% rye, and 12% barley malt. Unique iron-free water from an underground source located at the distillery in Lynchburg is used for the production. Mashing and fermentation occur as with any other Bourbon Whiskey. Still, the unique thing about a Jack Daniels and what distinguishes the whiskey from a Bourbon is that it is filtered and softened through a 1-meter thick layer of maple charcoal. This unique process removes impurities and makes them softer – yes, in short, it makes it Jack D.
Gentleman Jack is filtered twice through the charcoal, both before and after the oak storage, which gives a unique soft, and more elegant taste. Try it out with one of our great Cuban or New World Cigars.
