The Brugal brand’s most precious and valuable offering is fittingly enclosed in a beautiful and weighty perfume-style bottle with gold accents. ‘Siglo de Oro’ means ‘golden age’, which perfectly expresses and honors Brugal artistry in the aging of its rums. Molasses rendered from local sugarcane is double-distilled, then benefit from around eight years of maturation in medium-toasted, new white American oak bourbon barrels. If this wasn’t enough, the spirit then rests in other new oak barrels for a further eight years or so. Despite all this loving care, it’s the blending of these 16- to 21-year-old rums that makes it sublime.
Enjoy it with a great Cuban or New World Cigar!
