Stauning Whisky Curious is a somewhat extreme taste explosion. It is smoky, sweet, fruity, oily, sulphuric and grainy. In other words, there is teenage love on the hayloft and burnt rubber from a street race in the village. Evening on the prairie, where the smoke from the Mexicans home-rolled cigarillo
is accompanied by the scent of cactus mezcal. Delicious understated Serbian plum brandy sweetness and impressivevolume. Not at all balanced or mellow, but masculine simple complexity and duality.
So use it with caution, as a substitute for mezcal, peated whisky or vodka. It will bring massive amounts of concentrated flavor to the cocktail or long drink to which it is added. Imagine a smokey, spicy and salty Bloody Mary based on Stauning Curious.
Enjoy it with a great Cuban or New World Cigar!
